The start of the 2024 NFL season is fast approaching.
Bear Bets will continue to predict the coming year from a betting perspective.
This week, Chris “The Bear” Fallica and Jeff Schwartz are joined by Sam Panajotovic and Will Hill to discuss how to bet on the NFC.
Everyone shared their favorite bets, here are their bets:
Will Hill: Minnesota Vikings make playoffs (+260)
“They’ve got skill players. They’ve got a back in Aaron Jones who I think is underrated. Good offensive line, good home field. They’ve got a tough schedule right now, but 9-8, 8-9, 8-8-1, something like that, they could make the NFC playoffs… If Minnesota can get through their early schedule, I think they can slide into the playoffs and be kind of under the radar.”
Sammy P: Philadelphia Eagles make the playoffs (-250)
“I’d be surprised if they don’t make the playoffs this year. I know some people are a little hesitant to bet -250, especially on a full season bet where you’re putting your money down for six months, but they’re going to win more than 12 games this year. They’ll make the playoffs. Some of the smartest people we all know aren’t afraid to bet $2-3 on odds that they think are relatively cheap.”
Sammy P: Malik Neighbors receiving yards over 875.5 (-110)
“They [New York Giants] He’ll be way behind, and as long as he stays healthy, he’ll be chasing some of the top 10 talent. [of the draft] Over the last three or four years, I think this is a really good bet.”
Bears: Kirk Cousins throws for just under 3,950.5 yards
“I think there are a few ways to win. Cousins is not healthy and either loses his job due to disappointing performance, or he gives up his position to Michael Pennis, or the Atlanta Falcons pull a dirty trick to give Pennis some playing time and cut Cousins’ snaps.”
Jeff Schwartz: Carolina Panthers to win at least 5.5 games
“I think we have a good coaching staff. I like our defense. Offensively, we have the tools to do something. If Bryce Young can perform at his average level with this team, we can win six games.”
Sammy P: Arizona Cardinals make the playoffs (+350)
“If Kyler Murray can stay on the field, they have weapons around him. I think they’re an interesting team. I think they’ll win eight or nine games this year.” [NFC West] Highly overrated…Arizona’s win total is 7-7.5, I like the over and bet on them making the playoffs.”
Will Hill: Seattle Seahawks – 7.5+ wins
“To me, they’re a mediocre team. They have some good receivers, some decent players here and there, but the quarterback is so-so. They’re just ‘so-so.’ … I lean to the over. I think they’re an average team. They’re 7-8-5, so even average is good enough for the over.”
Will Hill: Marvin Harrison Jr. leads the NFL in receiving touchdowns (25-1)
“They have a horrible defense and they always have to play catch-up in games they win or cover. They’ve lost 35-31 and 31-28. He’s going to be playing in a division in good weather in Arizona. He’s going to have to play catch-up a lot. Even if you think Arizona is pretty strong, it’s hard to imagine them being strong defensively. You’ve got to keep throwing the ball to play catch-up. Murray’s a pretty good quarterback.”
