According to multiple reports in the Catalan media, Barcelona have completed their deals for the summer transfer window and are unlikely to make any further signings or departures unless there are some unexpected last-minute changes in the market.
The deadline is on Friday night, but sporting director Deco is unlikely to be as busy as usual in the final hours of the transfer window as the club is not expected to sign any players due to Financial Fair Play issues and is not expected to accept any offers for its current players before the deadline.
Barca tried to negotiate with Liverpool on Wednesday for midfielder Stefan Bajetic to replace the injured Marc Bernal, and Bayer Leverkusen were rumored to be offering 20 million euros for centre-back Jonathan Tah, but both deals fell through and manager Hansi Flick will have to stick with his current squad until January.
Only if they reach an agreement with Nike within the next few hours, or, unlikely to receive a financial injection from another sponsor, will Barca have the chance to sign a new player and register him before the deadline. Also, no other clubs are interested in any of the current squad members apart from Eric Garcia, who was a Girona target before a foot injury ruled out any possibility of a deal.
So, perhaps the business is finished, here is what Barça has done on the market this summer.
