Alaska teens are more likely to be depressed and suicidal than they were a decade ago, and some mental health issues have increased, especially among girls, according to results from the state’s most recent Youth Risk Behavior Survey. The survey, conducted among about 1,200 high school students across the state in 2023, revealed a number of negative trends.
