13-18 Arizona’s Sun Devils will enter Kansas City, Missouri as the 15th seed of the Big 12 tournament.
It was an overwhelming season for the Sun Devils, who finished 4-16 with Bobby Hurley and Big 12 plays. Arizona lost their final four games, 1-3 against the spread (ATS) in that range.
On February 4th, Kansas defeated Arizona 71-70 in Tempe, Arizona, and achieved a complete victory as a three-point underdog. Senior security guard David Ng Gessan led the way, scoring 22 points in a 18-11 shooting performance from the field along with eight rebounds.
Arizona had a chance to win with two free throws, but Jaden’s hobby missed both attempts with three seconds left, allowing Kansas to claim victory.
Then on February 23, Arizona bounced back in a crucial 66-54 victory in Manhattan, beating Kansas State as a 6.5-point underdog. A motivated hobby to revenge his previous defeat led his team with 18 points and seven rebounds.
The Sun Devils’ strong second half was crucial in ensuring a much-needed road victory in the Big 12.
Kansas will enter the game as the 10th overall seed in the Big 12 tournament. The Wildcats are 13-14 overall and have a 7-9 record with a big 12. They won two of the last five games, and are 3-2 ATS during that stretch.
Despite the challenging season, I think Harley will set fire to his team tonight. Arizona is desperate and there’s nothing to lose by turning its back against the wall. Hurley’s Squad plays fast and is offensively efficient.
If the Sun Devils can score a key defence stop and force Kansas into a tough shot, I think Arizona will be surprised tonight despite the question marks surrounding Adam Miller and quaint status.
