The Dallas, Texas-based end-of-life shelter company said it has seen an increase in clients recently, noting that many Americans are worried about today’s social unrest.
Atlas Survival Shelter owner Ron Hubbard said in a phone interview with Fox News Digital this week that nearly half of Americans believe a civil war is possible in the United States.
Atlas Survival Shelters manufactures different types of survival shelters that are used to protect people in the event of a “pandemic outbreak, civil unrest, malicious mob, biological nuclear fallout, or EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack from homegrown terrorists or foreign nations,” according to the company’s website.

A Marist National Poll conducted in May found that 13% of Americans feel a civil war is “very likely,” while an additional 34% say it is “likely.”
“Business is good right now. We’re doing bunkers between $1 million and $20,000, with some over $1 million,” Hubbard said.

“On average, most of the bunkers we deal with are around $500,000, because the customer base that’s buying bunkers today is not poor.”

The average bunker has around nine rooms and is “turnkey” and ready for immediate use.
Hubbard said that on average, they sell at least one Bunker a day and the phones never stop ringing.
He said his banker is different from others with modern features that cater to the lifestyles of the rich and famous.

“They want to be in a luxury bomb shelter.”
“That’s why I work for a lot of high-end clients – they don’t want to suffer in a metal box, they want to be in a luxury bomb shelter.”

Hubbard, who serves clients in the U.S. and around the world, said the Middle East has become a “hotbed” for his clients.
“Countries like the United Arab Emirates are copying the Israeli practice, where most people live in high-rise buildings, by renting a room in a high-rise apartment building — like a small bedroom, the average size being 10 feet by 12 feet — and turning it into a concrete room with a gas-line door and a nuclear, biological, chemical, air filtration system.”
Hubbard said he is sharing the idea with American builders.

“If we adopt Israeli standards and turn one room in a house into a hardened room, we can protect people from gunfire, tornadoes, hurricanes and riots,” he said.
