Shoppers who got their spring clean on Amazon Prime Day in July will be thrilled to hear that Amazon will be hosting another Prime Day-like sales event this October. Similar to last year’s Prime Big Deal Days event, it is expected to feature a ton of big discounts across popular shopping categories like tech, home, and more.

What are Prime Big Deal Days?
Prime Big Deal Days is basically just another Amazon Prime Day, but taking place in the fall (regular Prime Day takes place in mid-July each year.) Think of it as the unofficial start of the 2024 holiday shopping season, or an early version of Amazon’s Black Friday.
Similar to Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Day will take place over two days and feature deals across the brand’s various shopping categories, including fitness, home, and tech. Prime Big Deal Day is Amazon’s second-biggest sales event of the year (the first being, of course, Prime Day), so the deals are expected to be some of the best the retail giant has to offer.
When is Prime Big Deal Days 2024?
Amazon has not announced when Prime Big Deal Days 2024 will take place.
Last year’s sale took place on Oct. 10-11, 2023. If Amazon keeps its timing similar, this year’s sale could start as early as Oct. 8, 2024.

Do I need to be a Prime member to shop during Prime Big Deal Day?
Yes. Just like Prime Day, the best deals during the Prime Big Deal Day sales event will be exclusive to Amazon Prime members.

If you haven’t tried Amazon Prime before, the retailer may offer a 30-day free trial to test out the service (trial offers may vary), and if you’re a college student or a shopper between the ages of 18 and 24, you can try Prime for free for six months, after which it’s available at a discounted rate of $7.49 per month.
Amazon Prime membership costs $14.99 per month, or $139 per year if you choose to pay annually (if you pay annually, the monthly fee is about $11.50). However, Amazon is currently offering a Prime special deal: you can get three months of Prime for just $7.49.
