Air BP, an international supplier of aviation fuel products and services, announced that it has reached a significant milestone by completing one million overflight refuelings using the ‘safe2go’ app.
This achievement was achieved in Portugal in August when Air bp customers took advantage of the cloud-based platform formerly known as Airfield Automation.
The safe2go fuel data platform enhances safety and efficiency for fuel operators and their customers. The app guides operators through a sophisticated three-step fuel grade cross-check to minimize the risk of misfueling (using the wrong type of fuel) and improve operational accuracy and data reliability. Improve both.
Commenting on this achievement, Olivia Stone, Vice President of Aviation Technical Services and HSSE, said: “We are proud of this award-winning technology and are continually improving it. We have recently enhanced our app and leveraged customer feedback to further improve operational efficiency and improve airport safety. I’m working on increasing it.
“We look forward to rolling out Safe2go to even more locations in 2024.”
Air bp’s innovative technology was first introduced in May 2018 and the platform is used in over 600 vehicles at over 200 airports.
