The trade demands of Browns defensive side Miles Garrett sparked many conversations in the league, including between Garrett and another announced pass rush.
Lions star Aidan Hutchinson is a guest on the Squeeze Podcast and was asked about the offseason moves the Lions think should make. Hutchinson said he and Garrett both attended the NFL Honors Show before the Super Bowl and had the opportunity to chat about the formation of the “fatal” combination.
“We were just talking What can you doHutchinson said. “And perhaps unlikely, but if that happens, you’ll be excited to play next to him. Our entire D-Line will be completely high. It’s a scary line of defensiveness And we’ll get along well too. I’ve seen him over a variety of things over the last few years. He texted me after I was injured. Hands on you. Like a guy outside your own team to extend. So I think he is a good guy. If he does, great, but I don’t know. I understand. But it would be great. ”
Garrett said his goal with leaving Cleveland is to land with his competitors, and the Lions certainly fit the bill on that front, but so are other teams. The next few weeks should be more clear about who will make the biggest push to be unhappy pass rush.
