“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Gossip Girl” star Michelle Tratchenberg was found dead in her gorgeous midtown apartment on Wednesday, sources reported.
Trachtenberg was found to be unconscious in a Westside apartment in Midtown on Columbus Drive around 8am on February 26th.
Trachtenberg, 39, has nurtured a child acting career starring in multiple Nickelodeon productions, including the famous film Harriet The Spy.
The beloved actress began her career at the age of three and made her official debut in “The Adventures of Pete and Pete” from 1994 to 1996.
With many acclaim for her work, Trutchenberg played a wide range of roles throughout her career, from the Ice Princess to the Demon fighting alongside Michel Geller. And as Georgina like righteously sets fire to “Gossip Girl.”
Ella DiTraglia, 20, is a Trachtenberg fan and neighbor, and shared her shock and sadness with Amnewyork Metro.
“I’m in devastation. I didn’t even know that she lived here. I love her work and that’s just sad news. My thoughts are with her family and friends,” Ditraglia said as she left her gorgeous apartment.
Trachtenberg’s other neighbor, Rhel Noufele, often shared that she saw and greeted her beloved actress in the hallways of her apartment building. He saw a horde of reporters and learned the news that he had passed away until he left the building this afternoon.
“Michel was my neighbor, that’s very sad news,” Nufele said. “I didn’t know her personally, so she looked fine.”
“She was a normal person,” added Nufele. “It’s certainly a shock.”
Fans reportedly noticed her gay look that Trachtenberg shared this month and asked about her health in several previous social media posts. In 2024, a liver transplant reportedly was performed, but it is unclear whether the procedure is related to hearing death.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-star David Boleanaz lamented her death on his Instagram, “It’s so sad… I lamented her and her family for the horrifying news, rifts and prayers.”
