TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – As we move into the cold winter months, it’s essential that kids have what they need to stay warm.
Thanks to Advisors Excel, schools like Sheldon Head Start are able to offer their young learners a unique shopping experience for winter clothing.
Principal Sheldon said: “Although it’s still close to 90 degrees outside, we know the cold weather is quickly approaching and we want our children and families to be prepared for it and get the supplies they need before winter sets in. I just want to.” Gabriel Tanner, get a head start. “Advisor Excel absolutely supports us in doing that. We totally believe in kids playing outside, we play outside for 30 minutes twice a day, and we We believe in 60 minutes of play, so we want kids to be prepared for colder temperatures and ready for winter success.”
“They’re so excited that I just stand in the back the whole time and make the cheese. It’s about me, as a proud principal, stepping back and saying, ‘Look at what we can do here. It’s just one of those moments where you can say, ‘Please.’
After selecting their favorite shoes, coats, hats and gloves, the children expressed their gratitude to the school and the volunteers from Advisors Excel who helped them with their perfect warm-weather attire.
Tanner hopes moments like this will stay with her children as they grow up.
“Our kids are 3 and 4 when they’re here, so it’s a time in their lives they may not remember, but I hope what we’re doing here is very memorable. ” Tanner said. “It may be a small thing when we give back to others, but it means a lot.”
A “shopping spree” is planned for Pine Ridge Prep students later this week.
