Accor and Arora Group are proud to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for the long-awaited Sofitel Dublin Airport, a new luxury hotel that will redefine the hospitality experience at Ireland’s main international gateway. The hotel features 412 elegantly designed rooms and suites, an all-day restaurant, a tea salon, and an 11th-floor sky bar with stunning views of the airport and beyond.
The franchise development project will include the construction of a new Sofitel hotel at Dublin Airport, which is expected to open by the end of 2026 as a full-service luxury hotel with approximately 412 rooms. The hotel is directly connected to the airport’s Terminal 2, providing seamless connectivity for travelers.
The project’s developer is Arora Group, Accor’s key franchise partner in the UK and owner of both Sofitel London Heathrow Airport and Sofitel London Gatwick Airport. In 2018, Arora was awarded the opportunity to develop this hotel for over €100 million as part of a competitive bidding process conducted by DAA (Dublin Airport Authority). Arora Group, with its strong operating platform and extensive experience in the airport hotel sector, is the perfect partner for this exciting project.
The new hotel will include a wide range of luxury amenities, including a sophisticated all-day dining restaurant, a sophisticated tea salon and an exclusive sky bar with stunning views of the airport and its surroundings. It will also feature an executive lounge, fitness center, and extensive meeting and event space including a ballroom and eight flexible meeting rooms.
Ireland’s main international airport, Dublin Airport, handles more than 31 million passengers a year and is ranked the 13th busiest airport in Europe. Conveniently located just 7 km north of Dublin city centre, this hotel caters to the growing number of travelers using the airport.
Sofitel Dublin Airport is scheduled to open in late 2026, ushering in a new era of luxury and sophistication for travelers to and from Dublin.
