Charlotte Terry is deeply involved in Florida and her community, with roots stretching from Jacksonville to Vero Beach, where she has lived for over 50 years. Fourth generation
Charlotte, a Floridian and local real estate expert, initially founded her own buyer-focused company, Charlotte Terry Real Estate, Inc. In 2009, she joined Alex MacWilliam Real Estate Inc. and expanded her scope to include listing representation.
Charlotte’s influence extends beyond real estate. As a lover of cultural arts, she was a founding member of the Laura “Riding” Jackson Foundation and helped preserve the poet’s historic home, now on the campus of Indian River State College. Additionally, as a member of the Laura Riding Foundation, she co-founded the Teen Writers Workshop in Vero Beach, which fosters young writers, with Pam Proctor. He co-founded Cracker Tales Inc., a project to preserve local oral history, with Nancy Hopwood.
Charlotte co-founded the Indian River Literary Society, which has world-renowned authors speak at monthly luncheons. Vero Beach Women’s Club’s history, community service, and historic architecture place it near the heart of Charlotte.
A Florida Master Naturalist, Charlotte’s passion for nature is evident as she leads clients on eco-adventures, from kayaking the Indian River to exploring the St. Sebastian Buffer Zone. She still serves as an advisor for McKee Arboretum and enjoys sharing it with her relatives and customers.
