LAKE CHARLES – The McNeese State University football program has introduced exclusive QuickTake Sports digital check-in kiosks. The cutting-edge technology platform is the first of its kind to feature biometric sensors, facial recognition and vital sign measurement using a digital touchscreen, revolutionizing training and performance communication for McNeese athletes.
The QuickTake Sports Kiosk is designed to help athletes perform at their best through precision health data tracking. Athletes simply stand in front of the kiosk to check in and the kiosk will measure their vital signs and mood. It then provides motivational messages to keep athletes focused on their health goals in new and innovative ways.
“We are excited to launch the first QuickTake Sports kiosk pilot with McNeese State University’s football program,” said McNeese Vice President and Athletic Director Heath Schroyer. “An innovative system like QuickTake is truly revolutionary for our sports medicine team. QuickTake data helps our student-athletes perform at their best.”
Hunter Martin, associate athletic director of sports medicine, said his team uses QuickTake Sports daily with his players. “It’s a very innovative tool that allows trainers to easily capture important vital signs and assess the health and wellness needs of student-athletes, allowing us to do our jobs more efficiently and effectively.”
“As a proud McNeese State University graduate, longtime team physician and passionate advocate for athlete wellness, I’m thrilled that the Cowboys football program is using our QuickTake Sports kiosks,” said Dr. John Noble Jr., co-founder and chief medical officer of QuickTake Health. “The platform provides athletes and athletic trainers with real-time health information to foster a culture of excellence and wellness. At QuickTake Health, we believe the best defense is a good offense, and this cutting-edge technology will prepare the Cowboys to tackle their health goals head-on. We are honored to work with our president and co-founder, Lando Ragusa, a McNeese University graduate. McNeese is our first university and we plan to expand to other universities soon.”
“This is another example of the high quality and innovative thinking of McNeese University graduates,” said Dr. Wade Luce, McNeese University president.
