Franklin Chamber of Commerce is looking for professionals
The Franklin Chamber of Commerce is seeking professionals to donate 30-60 minutes per month for approximately six months to support the Johnson County Entrepreneurship Development Program.
Launch Johnson County helps startups by providing education, coaching and mentoring. Grants will be awarded to three candidates who complete the process and are selected by a panel of judges. A key part of the grant process is consulting with attorneys, accountants/CPAs, marketing experts and fellow entrepreneurs to ensure your idea has the best chance of success.
Those interested can contact the Chamber of Commerce office for more information, and registration for the kickoff event to be held at Garment Factory Events on Sept. 10 can be found at franklincoc.com/launch.
Shop local at IndianaGrown
With over 50,000 farms, Indiana stands out as a leading agricultural state and is known for supplying the highest quality agricultural products. However, of the $16 billion Indiana residents spend on food each year, less than 10% is sourced within the state. To encourage shopping local, there are a variety of resources available throughout the state that make it easier to purchase locally grown foods and artisanal products.
Did you know? Indiana Grown is a network of local farmers and producers helping connect consumers like you with Hoosier-grown products. When you’re at the grocery store, restaurant or convenience store, look for products labeled with the Indiana Grown label. You can also visit IndianaGrown.org to find members and products near you.
Want food delivered? Indiana-based Market Wagon is an online delivery service that connects you with local food vendors and artisans and delivers your purchases directly to you or your designated market host. No membership or minimum purchase required.
