Looking for a luxury cruise to the Panama Canal? Or a 20-night trip throughout the Caribbean? Oceania is adding cruises from new homeports, according to information obtained by Caribbean Journal.
The company is set to become the first luxury cruise line to homeport in Tampa Bay, starting in 2026.
Oceania plans to begin cruising to the Caribbean and the Panama Canal in early 2026, starting with its Insignia ship.
So what does that include?
Oceania’s Tampa cruises range from seven to 20 nights, and some even include a transit through the Panama Canal (and an overnight in Panama’s charming capital city).
“This news marks the beginning of a new chapter for Oceania Cruises as we become the first ultra-luxury cruise line to offer exclusive voyages from Tampa,” said Frank Del Rio, president of Oceania Cruises.
Del Rio said the move is a natural expansion for the line, which counts Miami as its Florida homeport.
The Insignia ships can accommodate 670 guests (and 400 crew) and offer everything from a sports deck complete with a putting green to gourmet restaurants, including the popular Polo Grill.
The first Tampa cruise will depart on March 3, 2026, and will be a 15-day itinerary departing from Tampa, calling at ports such as Antigua, Dominica and St. Croix before returning to Tampa.
(If you’d like to join the inaugural voyage, you can fly to Barbados in February 2026 for a nine-day voyage to Tampa.)
