PARIS, Aug. 27, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Balmain today announced the launch of its first beauty creation, Les Éternelles de Balmain, a collection of eight all-gender eau de parfums. This pioneering fragrance experience is inspired by Pierre Balmain’s Parisian legacy and Olivier Rousteing’s contemporary influences on fashion and today’s beauty.
Identity has a scent
Olivier Rousteing ingeniously builds on the Maison’s iconic French heritage to share a new vision of avant-garde beauty driven by respect, love and solidarity. Olivier Rousteing’s creative vision imbues contemporary luxury fragrance making with a resolute inclusivity, inspiring audiences and fans around the world to celebrate beauty in their own right. The fragrance marks the first chapter in the brand’s new book of beauty, which will expand globally into new categories in the future.

Introducing Les Eternelles de Balmain
Born from luxuriously crafted dualistic ingredients, Les Eternelles de Balmain is inspired by the universal quest for self-realization and identity. This first collection contains eight multi-layered scents from four distinct scent families: Musk, Amber, Floral and Woody.
Since the beginning, Olivier Rousteing has been the lead architect of Balmain Beauty at every stage of creation, from concept to scent development, packaging design and campaign imagery. He studied perfumery and learned the creative process through hands-on training. After delving into Balmain’s renowned archives, he carefully selected four of Balmain’s traditional scents to reinterpret for the modern age: Vent Vert, Ivoire, Ebène and Carbone. Four new scents complete the collection: Selle d’Ambre, Rouge, Bronze and Bleu Infinie.

Blue Infini takes you to endless sky, infinite sea and the call to set you free (warm cistus absolute/salted lichen).

The collection is inspired by Balmain’s first bottle, created in 1946, a masterpiece of simplicity and timelessness. Duality is expressed in the design, with its contrasting basic shapes of a circle and a square, its distinctive black and gold colours and a label that spans two sides.
Building on this foundation, the new bottle offers a multi-sensory, luxurious and modern experience. A square is elongated into a diamond and Balmain’s signature rayule that covers the glass echoes the existing texture of the gold colour. New finishes and colour palettes are beautiful to the touch and to the look. The cap features Balmain’s iconic graphic PB monogram, extracted from the brand’s iconic labyrinth motif from the 1970s.
