JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Small Business Emerging Business Program (JSEB) has launched a free monthly forum to provide resources, support and networking opportunities to the Hispanic business community.

The two-hour forum will be held in Spanish and will feature expert talks, interactive workshops and open discussions addressing the unique challenges and opportunities of Hispanic business owners.
Topics covered include:
How to proceed with the procurement process with the City of Jacksonville
Building good business relationships with major contractors
Leverage local government resources to grow your business
Network Strategies for Economic Development
The forums will be held once a month through the end of the year at the Downtown Main Library (303 N. Laura Street) from 6 to 8 p.m. on the following dates:

October 15
November 19
December 17

Jacksonville’s Hispanic community makes up just over 11% of the city’s population, according to the most recent U.S. Census data, and is one of the fastest growing areas in Duval County.
“We are pleased to host these forums in Spanish to further serve our Hispanic business community,” said Yanira “Yaya” Cardona, Hispanic Outreach Coordinator for the City of Jacksonville. “Our goal is to provide Hispanic small business owners with the knowledge and connections they need to contribute to Jacksonville’s economic growth and thrive.”
