Joseph Donu wanted to surprise his wife, Victoria, with a memorable anniversary weekend this summer. The Spring Hill couple had just welcomed their second child and celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary. “I wanted my wife to feel special,” he says. Donu spent the weekend at the Tampa Edition on Water Street, the city’s first five-star hotel. He then called Rebecca Jones, owner of Sharp Exotics Luxury & Exotic Car Rentals. He chose a blue Lamborghini Huracan for the weekend drive.

Jones delivered the car to Edition in time for Donu to take his wife to dinner at a nearby restaurant.
“When you come in a Lamborghini, it’s a whole new feeling,” Donu said.
He drove the car for 24 hours, and to him, the $1,200 fee was well worth it.
“As a kid, I always dreamed of having it,” he said. “It was like living the dream again.”

Known on social media as Supercar Becca, Jones owns over 15 luxury cars valued at over $4 million. Her vehicles include several Lamborghinis, three Ferraris, a McLaren 600LT, a Porsche, several Corvette C8s, a Formula 4 race car, several Mercedes, and a Tesla Cybertruck. She is currently purchasing a Rolls-Royce Cullinan and a Lamborghini Huracan Spyder. Her cars are stored in several locations around Tampa Bay and are available for rental as far south as Sarasota.

Jones’ clients include athletes, Middle Eastern royalty, vacationers and people looking for a luxury car for proposals, bachelorette weekends or date nights. He rents out cars for publicity projects, fashion shoots and real estate brochures, and has partnerships with several local hotels that provide cars to their guests. This summer, he introduced a VIP membership program for repeat customers.
“I actually bought the car for myself,” Jones says. “I grew up in a car-loving family and always wanted to own a sports car.”
Jones, a self-described country girl from small town Nebraska, started her own medical staffing company in 2013. After moving to St. Petersburg in 2020, she bought her first luxury car, a 2017 Ferrari 488 Spider.

Jones fell in love with the area after a work assignment brought her to Florida during the pandemic, where demand for health care workers was high. She moved her staffing business and flipped homes for a few years before deciding to add luxury car rental to her resume.
“It’s not easy being a woman in this industry,” she says, “but a lot of people look up to me and it feels really amazing to be in a field that no one thought was possible.”
Jones describes himself as a “hands-on” business owner.
“I service cars,” she said. “I also run a medical company.”
Allie Tufaro of Tampa recently rented a McLaren from Jones as a surprise for her boyfriend’s 27th birthday. But the windshield wipers seemed to be malfunctioning, so Jones also sent over a Ferrari.

“The wipers were fixed the next day, and she delivered these two luxury cars. I was amazed,” Tufaro said. “I had close to a million dollars worth of cars in my garage.”
Tufaro has extended his lease by four days and plans to rent from Jones again.
Jones recently started a nonprofit that auctions off her cars at local charity events, sponsors events for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and the Boree Center in St. Petersburg, and has also raised money for victims of Hurricane Ian.
“The fun part now is being able to share and give back,” she said.
Jones hopes to eventually franchise the business.
“I want to be the No. 1, elite company in all of Tampa Bay, and then expand into cities that don’t have luxury car rentals,” said the woman, who launched her second luxury car business in Omaha this summer.
“I have this tagline in my life, which is ‘Be a legend.’ I don’t mean to be famous, I mean to be someone that people will remember when the day comes when they go out there in life.”
