In an announcement on Wednesday, Aug. 21, Ridge Hill Shopping Center in Yonkers revealed that two new retailers are set to open stores.
The new businesses include:
LensCrafters plans to open a 3,140-square-foot store across from Banana Republic and Uniqlo in October, while Sunglasses Hut plans to open an 886-square-foot store between Pandora and the new Shake Shack location in mid-October.
Additionally, two businesses already present at the shopping center have announced new expansions.
Dick’s Sporting Goods will expand from 50,000 square feet to 76,000 square feet. The new layout will include a larger premium shoe department, multiple golf shot bays, a multi-sport cage for athletes to try products, and a “House of Cleats” that will provide more than 400 athletes with a 360-degree view of cleats options for multiple sports. Sky Zone, an indoor active entertainment center, will grow to 7,200 square feet. The expansion will allow for new attractions such as a Warrior Course, Air Court, slides and additional party rooms.
The north end of the shopping center, the area home to Dick’s and Sky Zone, is currently being renovated into a family zone, which includes replacing a fountain with seating, green space, a children’s play area and hardscape, as well as expanding the space for eateries to add patio space.
“We’re excited that Dick’s and Sky Zone are doubling down on their investment in Ridge Hill and continuing to grow with us,” said Morgan Riesenfeldt, director of leasing for North American Properties, the shopping center’s owner.
“Our team is equally excited about the addition of LensCrafters and Sunglass Hut. We are working to add more popular lifestyle brands to our product lineup, and both brands fit that criteria,” Riesenfeld added.
