The 2024 Little League World Series is rapidly approaching a close, which means these are the games and moments everyone came to Williamsport, Pennsylvania to see. With four games on the schedule, the pressure is only mounting. There’s a lot at stake for these baseball teams after a summer long journey.
Four teams — the U.S. division of Nevada and Texas, Chinese Taipei and Japan — need one more win to compete for a spot in the U.S. and international championship games, but the remaining four teams could see their battle come to an end with a loss in the elimination bracket.

How does the Little League World Series work?
The Little League World Series is split into two brackets, a US bracket and an international bracket. Each bracket has its own tournament, with the winners of each bracket competing in the finals.
The US and International tournaments are double elimination, meaning that a team can advance in another elimination bracket after losing their first match. The winner of the elimination bracket will face the winner of the winners tournament in the respective US or International Final for a chance to compete in the LLWS Championship.
This means a team needs to lose twice to be eliminated from the tournament.
