ESPN’s Football Power Index now includes projections for every game on LSU’s 2024 football schedule, and here’s how we expect the Tigers to perform this fall.
This season, many people across the country have been praising the Tigers. The Tigers have won 10 games for the second consecutive year. [autotag]Garrett Nussmeyer[/autotag], [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag]The LSU Tigers are looking to reach new heights this fall as they look to play in the SEC Championship and compete for a national championship.
ESPN’s FPI is unfortunately not that high for the Tigers. Officially, ESPN’s FPI has LSU finishing the regular season 8-4. The four losses come on the road against Texas A&M, at home against Alabama, at home against Oklahoma, and in the season opener on the road against either USC or Florida.
Their projected win/loss record is 7.9-4.2. After winning 10 games two years in a row, going 8-4 in the regular season would be disappointing for this team, but I don’t think that will happen. I think the Tigers will win A&M, Florida, and USC. Alabama and Oklahoma will be long, knock-down type games.
