Dealer Tips
Here are some expert tips for buying a car from a dealership.
1. Set a price: Work out your monthly budget before going to the dealer. It should include car loan payments, insurance costs, fuel, and regular maintenance. 2. Research: Make sure you know which car you want to test drive before going to the dealer. 3. Pre-approval: Make sure you have financing in place before going to the dealer. If the dealer is competing with outside banks, you may qualify for a better interest rate. 4. Take a test drive: Get behind the wheel before making any payments. A car purchase can be worth thousands of dollars. Drivers should make sure they like the drivetrain, steering feel, and comfort of the car before they drive it out of the dealership. 5. Negotiate: Drivers should always try to negotiate the price. There are a lot of good cars in the American market, so buyers are in a strong position to negotiate the price.
