When it comes to building a team in Hollywood, there’s no one you can trust more than a business manager. Low-key and often press-shy, these investment managers can help you decide whether to invest in a restaurant or bet on Bitcoin (hint: the answer is probably no), advise you on whether you can afford that house you’re considering buying, and help you navigate downturns in your industry.
The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Power Business Managers list shines a spotlight on the top names in the field through in-depth research and reporting. You can read last year’s list here, but it includes financial advisors who helped A-list actors like Tom Cruise and Anne Hathaway weather the SAG-AFTRA strike, financial advisors who managed finances for powerhouse screenwriters like Issa Rae and Mindy Kaling who couldn’t work during the WGA strike, and financial advisors who advised directors like Greta Gerwig who benefited from the box office success of the Barbie movies. They also worked with the industry’s top producers, athletes, musicians, and influencers.
Know someone who should be on the list? THR is now accepting nominations for its 2024 Power Business Managers List, which will be published in the Oct. 9 issue.
If you work regularly with a Business Manager or refer clients to them, you can submit their name in the form below. When explaining why you think the Business Manager should be included on your list, please include as many details as possible about the Business Manager’s work and clients.
Nominations must be submitted by August 30th using this form .
