The 31-year-old Diggs had 47 receptions and three touchdown catches for 496 yards in 2024 before his knee injury.
Diggs, who won four Pro Bowl selections from 2020 to 2023 on bills, spent a six-game winning 1,000-yard season before last year.
Diggs’ time as one of the NFL’s best wideouts is likely past him, but even when he returns to health, he should still be a boon to a patriot team who still lacks viable options at receivers.
The Diggs averaged 62 yards per game before the season. Tight end hunter Henry led the Patriots in 2024 with 42 yards per game.
New England has not acquired 1,000 yards of receivers or average 60 yards per game since Julian Edelman in 2019.
Diggs will now be added to the room alongside Ja’lynn Polk, Mack Hollins, Kayshon Boutte, Demario Douglas and Kendrick Bourne. I have a little more promise. The Diggs also exists as Pats’ latest signature in the eventful offseason. Pats also sourced services from defensive linemen Milton Williams, Edge Harold Landry, Cornerback Carlton Davis and Center Garrett Bradbury.
Meanwhile, Houston, who had quarterback CJ Stroud, who is hoping for a Diggs comeback, is led by outstanding Nico Collins and Christian Kirk. The Texans deal for Kirk could have probably shut the door with Diggs’ comeback.
Diggs returns to AFC East and back to the fourth NFL team.
