The 16-team fields announced Monday include Arizona, Boise, Georgetown, Villanova, Nebraska, USC and more. The tournament will be held from March 31st to April 6th.
BOISEY, Idaho — Boise State has returned to Las Vegas to participate in the New College Basketball Crown Postseason Tournament after missing out on the NCAA dance for the first time since 2021.
The Single Elimination Tournament unveiled its first 16-team field on Monday, featuring Arizona, Butler, Cincinnati, Georgetown Nebraska, USC and more.
Teams from seven different conferences head to Sin City for the first and second rounds of the tournament at MGM Grand Garden Arena. The college basketball crown will be held from March 31st to April 6th.
Boise State (24-10) fights George Washington (21-12) and opens the crown at the first meeting between the two programs. The contest is scheduled for Monday, March 31st at 3:30pm.
The Broncos were left as one of the first teams in the NCAA Tournament during Sunday’s Selection Show. The first four will instead feature North Carolina, San Diego, Texas and Xavier. Boise State has chosen to bypass the NIT to play for the crown.

The first two rounds of the debut event will air live on Fox Sports 1. The semi-final round and championship will air nationwide on Fox.
Boise State has won 11 of its last 14 games ahead of Sunday’s selection, including Mountain West Tournament victory in San Diego and New Mexico. The Broncos fell 69-56 in the conference championship game on Saturday, March 15th.
