The former pastor of Texas Megachurch and former spiritual adviser to Donald Trump – surrendered to Oklahoma authorities on Monday on charges of child sexual abuse.
Robert Preston Morris, 63, was handed over to an Osage County official and was charged Thursday with five counts of indecency or vulgar conduct with a child who is a spokesman for the Oklahoma Attorney General.
According to court records, an Osage County judge set up a $50,000 bond and ordered Morris to waive his passport.
Morris is expected to first appear before the judge at 10am on May 9th, Bacharach said.
Attorney Mac Martin declined to comment on the charges but said he expected Morris to enter an innocence plea.
Morris resigned last year as pastor at Gateway Church, a suburb of Dallas, in Southlake, after accusing women of sexually abusing him in the 1980s.
The victim, called CC in the charges, told authorities that the abuse began when she was 12 years old, Morris, a travel evangelical staying in Hominy, Oklahoma, stayed with her family. She said the abuse lasted for four years.

Morris accuser, Cindy Kremisher, said in a statement he was extremely grateful to the authorities who worked to make the accusation possible and wanted them to “justice will ultimately win.”
“Nearly 43 years later, the law finally caught up with Robert Morris on the horrifying crime he committed against me as a child,” said Clemisher, now 55.
The AP doesn’t usually name someone who says they’ve been sexually assaulted, but Kremisher said she hopes her name is included.
Morris was known to be politically active. The church held Trump at the Dala Campus in 2020, with discussions on race relations and the economy. He was also a member of Trump’s Spiritual Advisory Committee and Evangelical Enforcement Advisory Committee during his first presidential term, joining in efforts to mobilize conservatives and evangelicals to support Trump’s success in his 2024 presidential election.
Morris could be held in prison for up to 20 years on each of the five charges, according to the Attorney General’s Office.
