Cadence Bank will promote
Amber Owen has recently been promoted to Northeast Division Chairman of Cadence Bank, a newly reorganized banking division with eight branches covering Texalcana, Longview and Tyler.
Owen has worked with Cadence and its predecessor banks for over 25 years, surpassing the ranks while gaining experience in commercial lending, private banking, sales and credit analysis.
Owen received his bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas, Tyler. She also studied at Barrett Bank’s Banking School in Memphis, Tennessee.
Eastman’s chemistry employee has been recognized
The Manufacturing Institute recognizes Jennifer Frodder from Eastman Chemical, as the 2025 female recipient. Flodder is the director of Texas Technology at Longview Plant.
Women recognize women in science, technology, engineering and production careers and demonstrate leadership within the company. This national honor identifies the top talent in the manufacturing industry and encourages award winners to mentor the next generation of talent and pursue modern manufacturing careers.
Flodder has over 20 years of experience in manufacturing. . Much of her job began with improved operational discipline, which laid the foundation for an excellent operational handbook. The handbook has changed Eastman’s sales culture and is now used globally, according to the company. Now, she is co-led to lead global energy efficiency initiatives that generate millions of dollars in annual savings and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Christus sets up employment events at Longview
Christus Health is holding a recruitment event on March 20th at El Sombrero in Longview for healthcare professionals who want to start or promote their healthcare careers. The event will be held at a 2005 Toler Road restaurant from 4 to 6pm.
“We are looking for dedicated professionals to participate in faith-based ministry and provide the best compassionate care in the area,” said Michaela Ahlfinger of Christus Health Manager of Talent Acquisition.
Participants will have the opportunity to interview on-site, interact with hospital leaders, and discover the diverse career paths available within the healthcare system. The event also includes food, snacks and giveaways.
A wide range of openings and schedules are available, both full-time and part-time.
