After two years of major renovations on the historic landmark building, a new luxury collection hotel has opened at Paisa Jedelals, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the heart of Barrio de Las Letras, Madrid.
A luxurious collection hotel, the Palace will be participating in the Marriott luxury portfolio. Built in 1912, it was recently branded as the Westin Palace in Madrid. This new iteration restores the original architecture while redesigning the interior.
“We’re excited to announce that we’re a great place to go,” said Helen Leighton, vice president of luxury brands in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “Participating in the gorgeous collection allowed the team to truly embrace the histary history of the buildings depicted through thorough recovery.”
The hotel’s iconic stained glass and iron dome, terracotta interior with wreaths and flower accents, as well as a central palm tree chandelier have all been restored. The real colour of the interior has remained hidden for decades.
The palace has 470 rooms and suites, each with plenty of natural light and an elegant residential feel. The hotel also features a full-day restaurant, Lakpura, as well as the former Museum Bars 27 Clubs and 27 Clubs.
