Veteran Democratic strategist James Kerrville lamented that his party would not “meet in the moment” with their various antics aimed at President Trump.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Kerrville knocked out the Democrat’s “reverse” display in Trump’s speech to Congress last week, laughing at “auction paddles” and “beating a stick on the floor” of Texas Rep. Algreen.
“The first commandment of my politics was, ‘You must not make your own ass’, and they did not follow Kerrville’s first commandment,” laughed Kerrville.

The famous Clinton operative questioned the Democratic optics during Trump’s speech, and although Americans who tuned them were impressed by their actions, they gave a democratic response by Elissa Slotkin, D-mich. Kerrville praised her as “measured, rational and clear.”
He doubled his advice to Democrats in an OP-ED published on foxnews.com to promote economic uncertainty that has cost the stock market sharply as Trump’s tariff war with other countries.
“I mean, it’s an old military doctrine. Don’t interfere when your opponent is destroying yourself. Don’t get in the way right now,” Kerrville said.

Democrats have been troubled by viral blunt instruments among multiple senators who read from the same script before Trump’s speech, and among those who featured a widely operated video representative “chosen your fighter” video representative. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett.
“I think we’re in a very dangerous moment in this country. I really do. It might go the wrong way, and what I think Democrats should do is behave like it’s a very serious situation,” Kerrville said. “And I know they get donors who call them and demand something. And (a) why do people in the middle of the night just not give them something?
“I’ll be honest with you, I’m not a fan of that,” he said of the video. “I think we should be intentional and determined… I think Democrats have to meet at that moment, and then dance on the video.

Last week, Minnesota governor and former democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Waltz became word of mouth when he struggled to answer the question of who is currently leading the Democrats, and ultimately answered “voting president.”
When asked the same question about who the current Democratic leader is, Kerrville immediately replied, “No one.”
“And you probably won’t have it until you have a presidential candidate,” Kerrville said. “When people say that the image of Democrats has never been lowered, A. They are pretty correct. But the reason is that now they don’t like their own party. Why it’s because when there’s a party to win the election and you can’t win the election, the people in the party don’t like it.”

He says he doesn’t worry about Democrats in the long term because of the “stunning field” of candidates he thinks will emerge in the 2028 presidential race, but Kerrville says “a big character controls politics,” and now there are no inspirational candidates like John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. But he remains hopeful.
“I think we can do that. I think we’re going to do that,” Kerrville said.
