High-end travel business A rationalization of travel, joy junts, or extended journeys is the phone or mouse click of clients visiting the Charleston area thanks to the recently formed old village transport (OVT) co-owned by Jeff Freim and Paul Consolo.
The OVT was born out of a collective desire to enhance luxury traffic through seamless, concierge-level services across land, sea and sky.
True to “unlimited luxury,” the Mount Pleasant-based service organization offers a variety of luxury sedans, SUVs, executive Mercedes sprinters and 56-seater motor coaches as part of the vehicle fleet.
At sea, OVT works with a network of charter services to source a vessel assortment for sunset cruises, deep sea fishing, or luxury yacht excursions.
When it comes to air travel, local transport companies will allow clients to access a set of civil aircraft tailored to their individual preferences.
If a particular make or model is not available, the OVT team sourced it and explained it to Fraim as part of the personalized solutions business model.
“We set out to create the services our clients wanted, rather than simply meeting their needs. This is a one-stop solution for a curated, high-end travel experience,” Consolo said.
Both Consolo and Fraim are former PGA experts with over 20 years of experience creating “bucket list” adventures for golf nonprofit members.
The duo published their professional background on OVT in 2024, identifying opportunities to offer Charleston a much-needed transportation service package that combines exclusiveness, reliability and tailored convenience.
That’s why communication is important when tackling Charleston’s unpredictable traffic, according to Fraim.
“Our expertise lies in prediction and adaptability,” the Philadelphia native added. “With years of experience navigating LowCountry, we actively coordinate transfer times and routes to account for potential delays.”
