The Ogden Jets Post-Prep Football Program selected the following head coaches:
The Jets promoted the program’s second head coach, Jeramy Hunt-Loveless, to the position. USA Collegiate, an umbrella run by Jets and other programs, announced the move via a news release.
Hunt-Loveless helped launch the program and moved to Weber State where he starred as a player and became an offensive analyst.
“Coach Martin has built an incredible foundation. We are confident and excited to know that Hunt’s love and his team will continue to grow for the Ogdenjets!” US university director Mark Brady said in a statement.
Hunt-Loveless helped Ogden’s St. Joseph Catholic High School launch the 8-player program two years ago, and later joined the Jets as defensive coordinator, linebacker coach and academic coordinator.
“Jeramy is a great choice to become the Ogden Jets’ next head coach,” Martin said in a statement. “He’s committed to connecting with the community and doing what it takes to make the Jets successful. He’s the right guy to take the program to the next level.”
Hunt-Loveless, formerly a clear field high player in the WFFL Little League, said he is the same type of player the Jets recruit.
“I want to say how grateful I am for this opportunity to lead the Ogden Jets and give back to the community in the Ogden area,” he said in a news release. “I am very grateful for my wife’s love and support. I am extremely grateful for Jamie Martin and the leadership of American colleges for hiring me and giving me the opportunity to grow in promotion. It is an honor and I am humbled to be chosen to serve as my next head coach.”
Former Weber State Coach Dave Arslanian helped launch the U.S. college football program at Ogden and St. George. Students will take online classes or pursue a trade school program. They can play one gap year without using college eligibility, pursue other football opportunities, or play and start eligible watches.
The team will showcase around 15 players from local high schools in each of the first two seasons, as well as other players around Utah.
