New to the NFC title game Bertz and Commander Washington’s most impressive season in over 30 years, second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels doesn’t have much to complain about.
This offseason, Daniels got some new weapons in the passing game after Washington acquired Devo Samuel from the San Francisco 49ers. The commander then strengthened his line of defensive and offensive by signing Javon Kinlaw and trading with Laremy Tunsil. The latter surprised the NFL world.
Tunsil, 30, is by far the best offensive lineman for the Houston Texans, ranked second in the league among all of his start to offensive tackles in the past three years.
The 5-time Pro Bowler serves as a massive upgrade to the Commander’s offensive line. This lacks true star power in recent history, giving Daniels a premium left tackle.
Daniels, naturally, was tired of Tonsil’s post-trade excitement.
This year’s offensive Rookie of the Year sent Tunsil a brief message about his Instagram story following the news.
“Welcome to the team!!! @kingtunsil,” Daniels wrote.
Daniels led Washington to a 12-5 record last year, which led him to a 47th win last year, winning the Super Bowl in his rookie campaign. The addition of Tunsil is undoubtedly aiding Daniels in the ongoing development in the league.
