Alex Pereira is energized after losing the UFC Light Heavyweight title and plans to make a better effort if they meet new champion Magom, Ankaraev, for the second time.
“Poatan” made an unanimous decision to Ankalaev at the main event of UFC 313 on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It wasn’t a thrilling incident, but Ankaraev ran a great game plan, but Pereira couldn’t get out of the first gear.
Following the loss, Pereira thanked his supporters on Instagram and informed the fans that they would return to better shape with the rematch.
“I’m going to do some adjustments for the rematch. And I’ll come back better. You can count on it. Never give up on your dreams, chama,” Pereira said.
Pereira won the title in 2024, 3-0 in just 11 months with knockout victories over Jamahar Hill, Jiri Prochazka and Halil Lone Tree.
