What is the history behind Freecorn Day?
Are you interested in why such a large company cooks delicious ice cream for free? In fact, it is an annual tradition that began over 45 years ago, and during the first year of Ben & Jerry’s business in 1979, Vermont saw a very cold winter. However, the Ben & Jerry local community showed support to them, and the ice cream company not only survived but also flourished.
To celebrate their first year in business, owners Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield decided to thank their community for providing as much free ice cream as they could fire. After that day, Freecorn Day has become an annual tradition and is looking forward to celebrating ice cream fans around the world.
