They have a fair amount of squishing on the soles, so when you wear them they are wonderful and comfortable. This platform gives me an extra height and these are stable and easy to walk in. As for size, I usually wear an 8. I bought an 8. After breaking them, I think they fit perfectly!
Wow, I don’t usually write reviews, but I have to praise these shoes. I bought them and dressed to wear to my college graduation ceremony, and the ceremony took place at a big event stadium in my town. I walked to the station, walked from the station to the stadium, walked around the stadium, headed back to the train, headed back to the car, headed back to the university campus, walked around the university campus. I’m sure I put 4/5 miles on these shoes the first time I wore them. I was very surprised. I’m not a woman wearing heels. These are mostly flat, but give the illusion of wearing large, thick heels. I like the height, they are very sturdy and cute. I was most worried about them digging my heels, but no, there is a nice strip of soft material on the heels. Love, Love loves these shoes. I want to buy another pair!
