Jason Peters played his final snap.
Seahawks general manager John Schneider told reporters for the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis that Peters has decided to retire after spending the past 20 years in the league. Schneider said Peters would do the team’s job via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. Player Engagement Department.
Peters played the final eight games of his career with the Seahawks in 2023. He spent time on the practice team in 2024, but never reached an active roster.
Peters signed the bill after being undrafted in 2004 and was selected as the second team All-Pro in his final two seasons with the team. He joined the Eagles in 2009 and remained on the team until the 2020 season. He was the first team All-Pro two times during that run, helping the Eagles win the Super Bowl LII. He spent time with the Bears and Cowboys before closing his playing day in Seattle.
Peters made nine Pro Bowls and was named to the All 2010s team at the Pro Football Hall of Fame while running five years later, which was supposed to make Peters a strong candidate for the Hall of Fame itself.
