Oakville, CA – (February 25, 2025) – Gross Vineyard & Winery is thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting new event that combines the magic of nature with the luxuries of gloss wine. July 18th-20th, 2025.
Camping has always been an important tradition of the Gross family. It’s a way to separate yourself from the fast pace of everyday life, explore new places and create enduring memories that bridge generations. Now, for the first time, Gross will be inviting wine club members and guests to experience its tradition at Yosemite National Park, one of the nation’s most iconic and adoring destinations.
“By the 1990s, my parents had a 25-foot RV and they ran for two weeks every summer, at Glacier Park, Yellowstone or Banff as their destination,” said the winery’s second-generation president. Suzanne Gross, both CEO, explained. “This was before mobile phones were commonplace and they didn’t share details or itinerary with me, my brother or even the winery management team. Their motto is, “The news isn’t good news.” “It was. They loved freedom from worrying about their work, and it was the best way for them to relax. They insisted on packing a case or two Cabernets along with some wine from their neighbors. Eventually they went home when they were tired of driving or ran out of wine. ”

About Gross Vineyard and Winery
When Dennis and Judy Gross purchased a vineyard in 1981 at Oakville Crossroads, in the heart of the Napa Valley, they made a life-changing investment in the hopes of producing world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. It didn’t take long to prove their intuition was correct. Wine advocate Robert Parker gave the 1985 Gross Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon the distinction of being California’s first 100-point wine.
Today, Suzanne Gross, daughter of Dennis and Judy, is president and CEO, and Gross produces the highest quality and most elegant wines we can, whilst caring about our real estate for future generations. We have achieved this double goal and are sustainably farming over two estates, totaling 165 acres. The winery produces the highly acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
