The suspect was arrested for theft of a luxury car of college football star quarterback Carson Beck and women’s basketball star Hanna Cabinder.
The suspect is a 20-year-old man named Tykwon Anderson, who was arrested by police on Thursday. Anderson is one of four suspects accused of stealing a car, including a Lamborghini, according to arrest reports.
Deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office responded to the couple’s home early Thursday morning. Beck and Cabinder told investigators that while they were asleep, someone stole a silver Mercedes-Benz Am, a red Lamborghini Urus and a white Range Rover.
Police recovered the Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover within hours, but they were still searching for the Lamborghini.

Just before 3am on Thursday, Anderson and three other masked men arrived at Beck’s home, police said. One of the men broke into a vehicle parked in the driveway, used the garage door opener to enter the house, stealing keys to all three cars.
The thief is driving to Beck’s home using a rental car registered with Anderson, authorities said. Investigators said they used car rental tracking data to find Anderson and placed him at the theft scene.

Anderson has been charged with grand larceny, vehicle theft and robbery. He was in custody at Miami-Dade Prison but was not released on bail immediately. Online court records did not list Anderson’s attorneys.
Thursday’s report follows a series of robberies targeting well-known NFL and NBA athletes over the past few months.
Seven immigrants from Chile were charged in Florida federal court on Tuesday in connection with a nationwide network of organising robberies at several star homes, including Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kels of the NFL. .
The man has been accused of stealing about $2 million with watches, jewelry, cash and other valuables.

Georgia former quarterback Beck was declared in the 2025 NFL Draft in December, just days after undergoing season-ending elbow surgery. He was injured in the first half of the Bulldogs’ overtime victory over Texas in the SEC Championship Game.
Despite being qualified for another year, Beck set his sights on the NFL after a back-to-back seasons, putting a record 24-3 as a starter for Georgia.
However, he switched courses the following month and committed to Miami to join his girlfriend.
