The NBA’s 2025 All-Star weekend has arrived. Watching the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday night, Mac McClung won the dunk contest (and several skill challenge controversies) on Saturday night for the third consecutive year. Sunday brings a new look All-Star game. Stars like Stephen Curry, Nicola Jokic, Anthony Edwards and Victor Wenbanyama will be holding courtrooms in tournament-style ASG at the Warriors Chase Center.
tthe The NBA has completely revamped the format Of the 2025 All-Star Games, this year, 24 All-Stars were drafted into three teams of eight players each by Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith. Team Chris Marin, I won the Rising Stars Challenge on Fridayjoin three other All-Star teams on Sunday nights to play the mini single elimination tournament.
Each All-Star team has a prominent theme throughout it Registry.
Kenny’s young stars (featuring Edwards, Jalen Branson and Cade Cunningham) will face Chuck’s global stars (featuring Wenbagnama, Jokic and Shy Gilgauss Alexander) in the first semi-finals. Shaq’s OGS (featuring Curry and Kevin Durant, But not LeBron James, Who misses the game with injuries? () faces Candice’s rising star (led by Spurs rookie and dunk contest runner-up Steffon Castle). The winners will then meet at the championship for the right to be selected as the 2025 NBA All-Star Championship. In each game, the first team to reach 40 points won.

The winner of each game in the mini tournament will be the first team to reach 40 points. There is a $1.8 million prize pool. Each player on the championship-winning team wins $125,000. The second-placed team player wins $50,000. Players on teams who lose in the semi-finals will earn $25,000.
