The Los Angeles Rams are off another solid season. They won the NFC West with a 10-7 record, starting one play from the hosts of the NFC Championship Game, and found the final NFL defensive bluekey of the year with Jared Verse. However, the Rams face some important issues that could dramatically impact this offseason.
The Rams appear to be working to move on from former Super Bowl MVP and Star Wideout Coupap, but LA must make a decision on quarterback Matthew Stafford. The veteran Signal Cara technically remains on the contract for two more years, but only $4 million guarantees his $49.6 million cap hit. Then, in 2026, there is no guarantee on the contract.
The Rams must either find a way to give the quarterback more guaranteed money, or consider swapping him for a team of interest and starting over in the most important position in football. That’s probably not an attractive option for general manager Les Snead. After all, Stafford helped the Rams win the Super Bowl three years ago, but has not shown any exact signs of slowing down. The problem is that it cannot rule out the possibility that these future negotiations will work. Stafford will be one of the most interesting quarterbacks on the market if the Rams make him available.
Below we’ll break down some of the logical landing spots for the first overall pick before turning 37 last week.
The Steelers may be preparing for another reset in their quarterback room as both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are looking for a new deal. Now, things aren’t exactly pink in Pittsburgh. I don’t mind that Mike Tomlin hasn’t registered a losing season with the Steelers for 18 years in a row. Because Pittsburgh hasn’t won a playoff game since 2016. All six of these losses. It’s the longest winning streak in NFL history!
What is the best option for Pittsburgh at quarterback? Is the answer to trade up in the draft and expect a Come Ward or Chedure Sanders? Probably not. Do the Steelers want to take part in Sam Darnold’s war of bidding, or do they want to steal the flyer from 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers? Maybe Stafford is the best option – if he becomes available.
Can Matthew Stafford leave the Rams? After being “confused” by Coupper P Trade News, Kelly Stafford is open to it
Brian Deard

This is an interesting fit. The Giants certainly could choose quarterback in third overall, but Brian Daball and Joe Shane will be working for the rookie. If they’re not just sold in Ward or Sanders, Stafford would be a great option for the Giants. He and Malik Neighbors may be a fun duo to watch.
He also has connections with the family of Stafford, New York. ESPN reported Monday that the Giants are hiring former Jacksonville Jaguars assistant Chad Hall as their new assistant quarterback coach. Hall is the brother of Stafford’s wife, Kelly. Once he reaches where the Rams have decided to trade Stafford, he will have a say in his destination. Hall’s employment will make the Giants a more attractive landing spot for the Stafford family.
Some see the Raiders as a major team to trade up with quarterbacks, but who really knows? Pete Carroll’s employment is relatively surprising, and more interested in the Raiders stabilizing the franchise and laying the foundation for future success compared to star shooting by trading draft boards You can indicate that you are.
He may not be around for years, but Stafford is still a quarterback who will quickly improve his offense, and it’s pretty sweet to see him work with Brock Bowers’ University of Georgia legend. Sho.
Return to NFC North? I think it’s very appealing to the Vikings that they decided to do it at quarterback this offseason. Many people are putting pencils in Darnold to return in 2025, but what if another semi-stable organization gives him more money? Then, once Darnold leaves, the Vikings will soon throw JJ McCarthy into the starting lineup? perhaps. Or they could get another veteran.
Stafford and Kevin O’Connell are already familiar with each other and won the Super Bowl in 2022 with the Rams. Stafford wouldn’t want to round out his NFL career by throwing a rock to Jordan Addison’s Justin Jefferson. And TJ Hockenson? (Maybe Lions fan)
Nashville may not be Stafford’s most attractive landing spot, as Titans were the worst team in football last year. That being said, Titans head coach Brian Callahan was actually the quarterback coach for Stafford for the Lions from 2016-17, so the two know each other.
Titan is the No. 1 overall selection in the draft and just because he needs a quarterback doesn’t guarantee he will use that pick in Sanders or Ward. Tennessee has already been reported Start trading from Pick. Titans will absolutely sign quarterbacks in free agency before the draft rolls. Now, if it’s someone like Zach Wilson or Aaron Rodgers, then we can’t find it yet.
Or… stay with the Rams
Last week, ESPN’s Dan Graziano reported that Stafford is likely to return to LA Stafford. They were at the gateway to hosting the NFC Championship Game just a few weeks ago.
The ESPN report won’t change the fact that the Rams still need to find a way to coordinate Stafford’s contract and make him happy, but LA certainly has the talent of the kind of talent on the defensive side. At the ball, he has the motivation to leave quarterback purgatory.
