Following last week’s shocking deal, after franchise superstar Luka Donsic was sent to the Los Angeles Lakers in return for Davis, Nico Harrison General spoke about the Davis-led Mavericks vision .
It appears Dallas will have to wait at least a few weeks before seeing that vision come to fruition. Lively fell on his right leg last month due to a stress fracture and was expected to be on the sidelines for two or three months. Davis was expected to go outside for a few weeks due to the left adductor, sources told ESPN earlier this week.
Mavericks veteran Powell deals with hip injuries and doesn’t have a clear timeline to return.
Second-year player Olivier-Maxence Prosper took over at center in Monday’s loss after Gafford’s injury and played 34 minutes. PJ Washington, who deals with an ankle injury, may get time as a small ball center when he returns.
