Genesis is preparing to launch the GV90, the most luxurious EV yet. The flagship electric SUV challenges ultra-luxury brands like Rolls Royce. However, after crashing and getting stuck during cold climate testing, Genesis may need to tweak once it’s ready to reach the road. Watch the video below.

After Genesis unveiled the Neolun concept last March, we took a peek at the new flagship electric SUV. The GV90 (Neolun) is the brand’s first full-size electric SUV, and from what we’ve seen so far it becomes a beauty.
Genesis hopes that the GV90 will become more than just “transportation” with luxury, technology and other features. The exterior follows the “reducing design” philosophy, with clean lines and minimalist bodies. Other signature Genesis design elements, such as two lines of headlights and crest grille, are added to the premium feel.
The concept also includes coach doors like Rolls Royce. Once the B-Pillar is removed, Genesis is opened and interior spaces now open more amenities.
When the coach’s door opens, you will meet rich royal indigo cashmere and purple silk leather draped into the seats and interior. Dark-colored wooden trim helps offset your design while adding extra luxury.

Other signature Genesis elements are still included, such as a crystal sphere centerpiece and a 24.6-inch curved panoramic infotainment system.
The Genesis GV90, scheduled to debut later this year, was recently discovered for testing. Last week I first saw an electric SUV. This shows that the production model follows the design of the Neolan concept.

Recently, new EVs were captured during cold climate testing in the Arctic. Because of its appearance, the tests were not going as planned.
The Genesis GV90 apparently crashed during testing and got stuck. The Carspymedia video shows the flagship Genesis EV staying at the Snow Bank.
Genesis should consider using off-road technology with the GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle (MIV) announced last month to get the GV90 back on track.
Genesis plans to unveil the GV90 later this year, but mass production is expected to begin in 2026. The vehicle is expected to be available in a standard model and exclusive model.
The base (standard) GV90 is rumored to start at around 100 million won ($80,000). For twice as much, it costs around $200 million ($160,000), and the exclusive trim retains features such as the Neolun concept coach door. However, it is limited to only a few models.
Hyundai will build the Genesis GV90 at the Urusan EV plant in Korea. This will be the first Hyundai vehicle to feature a new “EM” platform that replaces the current E-GMP.
