A California woman was arrested Thursday. She is said to have replaced the US flag with Mexicans at Heart Park in Bakersfield. Reports say Crystal Aguilar was arrested for slashing the chain securing the flagpole before throwing stars and stripes into the mud to raise the Mexican flag. She was taken into custody on charges of vandalism and trespassing.
The Kern County Sheriff posted a video of the incident and arrested her on YouTube. She was booked with a charge of PC 69 for threatening a police officer, PC 594 for vandalism, PC 148 for resisting arrest, trespassing and possession of marijuana. Aguilar has been booked at Lerdo Prison and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
