The US Army recently announced it had broken previous recruitment records, but December 2024 was the most productive December of 15.
The branch reported that it enlisted nearly 350 soldiers every day that month, an army official announced on social media Tuesday.

In October 2023, the Army announced a series of drastic changes to recruiting companies, including focusing on a larger share of the labour market and creating a specialized talent acquisition workforce.

Still, the US military missed its recruitment target of 41,000 in 2023.
In 2024, the Army announced that it would cut 24,000 troops in a restructuring to “support the fight for service in future wars.”
Almost 5% of jobs cut the affected posts, according to the Army.
