Republicans are in line with Trump candidates
By Sahil Kapur
The two of the most controversial Cabinet -level candidates of President Donald Trump entered the Senate on Tuesday, and the Republican suspicions were Robert F for their health and human service secretary.・ Tarushi Gavado for the Director of the National Intelligence Bureau, who put their concerns aside to give Kennedy Jr. a sign of approval.
The advantageous committee vote comes after the intense pressure campaign. The White House warns that the Senate Republican members who vote against any of the candidates of the President face political “results.” Most GOP Senator is in line, facing the possibility of hostile to Trump and his powerful voters.
Except for unexpected developments, it has been confirmed that all of the Trump cabinets that have come in front of the Senate are currently on track. A few months ago, when Mats Getz, who suffered from a scandal, became a judicial Secretary and laid a bid to become a secretary of Pick Pick, it was unknown.
Eventually, the hegothes is RN.C. After securing the support of Senator Tom Tilis, he was shining with the narrowest margin, but Pam Bondy is now on steady to become a Trump AG. (The prolonged question mark is Lori Chavez Delemer, a friendly candidate for Trump’s union for Labor Secretary, who has not yet received a hearing.
An important voting for Kennedy came from R-LA Senator Bill Cassidi. Just a few minutes before the voting of the Senate Finance Committee to promote Kennedy’s nomination, Cassidi said that he would support him after having a “very intense conversation” on the weekend.
Doctor Cassidi expressed serious concerns about Kennedy’s unfounded comments, which connect vaccine and autism. He did not return to it on Tuesday statements.
Shortly thereafter, a similar dynamics was held at the Senate Intelligence Committee, and the main members of the undecided members of Todd Young were R-IND. But he announced that he would support Gabard. Young said he received a “commitment” that did not recommend the protection of Edward Snowden.
(In particular, both Cassidy and Young chose the Vice President of JD VANCE about the role he played in a lecture with the candidates.)
A new student, Senator Jim Justice, who took over Joe Manchin, summarized the attitude of many Republican members to Trump’s candidates. He told NBC News that “permission to permit those who chose this country to have his team is” fair. ” And if they don’t play, it will be in him and the team. ”
“So I expect him to win his team,” said justice. “It is probably Tarushi and Bobby that is difficult to pass through the finish line, and they are controversial, everything, we want to see them.”
He was asked if he was both “yes,” justice said, “Well, I’m probably, I’m probably, but at the same time, I’m objective. I promise to you. Masu.”

What you need to know from President Trump today
In addition to winning the scoring in the Senate Confirmation process, Trump has held the first meeting with foreign leaders since taking office and signed more administrative orders. This is the top line of the White House:
At an oval office meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said that Palestinians had no alternative to Gaza, but only left in Gaza. The White House has prepared an administrative order to eliminate the Ministry of Education, but Trump cannot unilaterally abolish the federal agency without the approval of Congress. Trump has recovered his “maximum pressure” policy against Iran and signed an order from the United Nations Human Rights Council to withdraw the United States. CHINA immediately retaliated overnight and announced a series of measures, as 10 % of Trump’s 10 % tariffs on all Chinese products were enabled. In some US products, 10 % to 15 % of my own taxation. And as Matt Dixon wrote, political uncertainty remains after Trump has made a temporary tariff trading with Canada and Mexico. Most of the Ukrainian natural resources are supplied to Kiev in exchange for the billion dollars of Washington’s military assistance.

The arrival of Virginia in 2024 will tell you about the future governor’s race.
By Steve Cornacky
This year’s Governor Virginia will look at it early on whether the split line in the 2024 election has returned to the White House and scrambled with Donald Trump.
Trump made some impressive profits in Virginia last November, reducing 10.1 points to Joe Biden in 2020 to 5.8 points against Camala Harris. He did this by winning new support from non -white voters, especially Asian Americans in northern Virginia, and Hispanic. However, in other areas in the state, Trump mainly hit brick walls. Especially in areas where there are highly educated white voters.
It will set some important questions for the governor’s race in 2025: Can the new Trump support be transferred to the Republican candidate? And do voters who can withstand Trump refuse to support the Republican members now that Trump has returned to the administration?
These dynamics can be seen at the result of November of a large and large loudon county other than Washington DC.
As with other areas in northern Virginia, rapid growing counties have become solid and democratic since 2008. However, Trump reduced 25 points to 16 points in 2020, resulting in a slightly light blue shade last year. 。 However, his profits were not even distributed to the entire Laudon, but instead had a clear population statistics. This is clear when reviewing the precinct level results.
Laudon is very high in Asian Americans (21 %, the highest in the state) and Latin -Americans (14 %, the state average higher), so Trump has been a college education. I was able to move the needle quite a bit as a whole. The voters were groups that became a core Democratic constituency in the Trump era and were rarely found.
In particular, it shows that the GOP candidates are not permanently not allowed to enter the GOP candidates in the same precincts that the white voters who received university education earned five points of Republican Governor Glen Young Kin in the successful 2021 campaign. Masu. However, Young Kin was running in the White House in suspicion of the Democratic member and the political future of Trump at the time. This year’s GOP candidate will run with Trump on the American politics center.
This same pattern was seen in Northern Virginia last November. Virginia is rich in Asian Americans and Latin voters, along with university -educated white voters. For example, in the Manassa Spark, more than 40 % of the population is Latin, which is the most focused among the counties or cities in the state. From 33 points of Videen margin to Harris 19, I moved 14 points to Trump.
However, except for the northern part of Virginia, it turned out that population statistics were far more advantageous for Trump. Chesterfield County in the suburbs just outside Richmond offers good examples.
Chesterfield is also large and diverse, like Laudon. However, the population of Hispanic and Asian Americans is much smaller, and the black population (almost 25 % of residents) is very high. The shift here looks different.
Trump invaded a lot of black groups, but they were as noticeable as the interests of Asian Americans and Latin Americans elsewhere. Surprisingly, the areas where highly educated whites are most concentrated has moved to the Democratic Party more than 10 points to offset Trump’s new non -white support. (In these same precincts, 13 points were reduced by Young Kin in the 2021 campaign.)
All of these have suggested a slightly ironic challenge for the Republican Party because Republican members are trying to protect the governor this year. Historically, they have struggled to build non -white support, but they may become a white voter who presents the biggest obstacle to victory.
