According to Pennsylvania authorities, thieves were poached about 100,000 eggs from behind the distribution trailer.
Police reported in the report that theft occurred at around 8:40 pm on Saturday at Green Castle’s Pete and Jerry’s organic LLC. Eggs are worth about $ 40,000.
The state police said the additional details on Tuesday and the case was being investigated.
“Pete & Jerry recognizes recent cases in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, and we are actively investigating with local law execution agencies,” the egg supplier stated in a statement. I did it. “We take this problem seriously and promise to solve it as soon as possible. We cannot comment on this problem anymore due to the progressive survey.”
Theft occurs because the price of the eggs is rising.
Last year, the average price of dawn eggs in the United States increased by 50 %. According to data from the US Labor Statistics Bureau, the increase seems to have accelerated since President Donald Trump was elected in November.
Economists and market analysts have stated that bird flu is promoting prices and at the same time promoting a typical increase in consumers during the holiday season.
