Michigan State University’s online graduate civil engineering program. Faculty of Engineeringranked 5th among universities and 3rd among public institutions in the United States, according to the 2025 edition of the U.S. News & World Report Online Program Rankings. This is the first time MSU has appeared in the online graduate civil engineering rankings.
“Our online civil engineering master’s program builds on our strengths in transportation, pavement engineering, and structural engineering, with an emphasis on emerging fields and industry needs,” said John, interim dean of the College of Engineering. Papapolymerou said. “This ranking by our peers confirms the success of our efforts to provide a quality educational experience through this program.”
Of the more than 300 online graduate programs nationwide, MSU’s online graduate programs are university of education Ranked 7th overall and among public institutions for the second year in a row. Other education sectors also continue to rank within the top 10. Areas include:

Of over 200 online non-MBA graduate programs, broad college of business It ranks 8th overall for online non-MBA graduate programs and 5th among public institutions. MSU also ranks No. 5 overall and among the public for online business programs for veterans.
Among nearly 100 programs ranked nationally, MSU Faculty of Social Sciences For the second year in a row, our criminal justice online graduate program ranked 10th overall and 6th among public institutions. MSU also ranks 7th overall for criminal justice programs for veterans and 5th among the general public.
