Those planning to attend the presidential parade inside Washington, D.C.’s Capitol One Arena are faced with the difficult choice of throwing away their bags or missing out on the chance to see the parade when they arrive at the security checkpoint outside. I was forced to.
For most people, it didn’t seem like such a difficult choice.
Outside the arena where President Donald Trump was hosting a presidential parade, dozens of handbags, some with luxury names on them, were seen dumped on the ground along with trash. . The event is usually held outdoors, but due to the extreme cold, it was moved indoors.
Photographs taken by reporters at the scene showed bags from brands including Louis Vuitton, Lululemon, Longchamp and Kate Spade left outside. These items did not appear to comply with the policy prohibiting large bags.
Bags and trash are everywhere outside Capital One Arena. People leave everything behind because they are not allowed to bring anything with them. Nice wallet, food and hand warmers. @nbcwashington pic.twitter.com/xgR0XdWTMo
