I bought the 3 piece set to replace my old Samsonite set that was starting to fall apart. I’ve had this for several years now and have flown everywhere including Paris, Israel, London, Scotland, Alaska, Las Vegas, St. Lucia, Amsterdam, Florida, Chicago, etc., among others. So it’s safe to say that this bag still looks and functions like new, even after numerous flights and all kinds of weather, hot and cold. Great quality for the price!
I travel often and have only used the medium and small size in Hawaii so far. But they both did a great job. The TSA lock easily slips through the zipper pull. The smallest ones are fine for almost all airlines. I miss the outside pockets found on soft bags, but the added security of the hard sides is nice. Additionally, non-black options make your package more visible on the conveyor belt.
I did a side-by-side comparison of the largest piece of brand new Samsonite (same size) that my wife just received as a replacement from the airline (another brand of luggage had been damaged) and a more expensive Samsonite and Amazon’s product. I did. are virtually identical.
