Life is too short to eat bland food! I’m a big fan of convenient seasoning blends that quickly add flavor and spice to home-cooked recipes. Sometimes it’s easier to add the right blend than to measure individual spices. This top 10 list is culled directly from my own spice cabinet.
I sometimes buy blended seasonings but don’t use them, which is a sin. Because I don’t remember it, or because I have no idea what to use it for. That’s why we’re sharing recipes and food pairing inspiration below. That way, you’ll know exactly how to use it when you buy it.
We’ll start with my favorite seasoning: Melting Pot Garlic & Wine! I’ve never been there, but it’s the restaurant’s signature blend. This seasoning elevates everything from fancy pasta sauces to simple frozen meals.
You can enjoy the rich flavor of wine and garlic without opening the bottle. This blend also includes salt, dill, parsley, oregano, and citric acid.
Try it on popcorn, scrambled eggs, tacos, homemade cheese fondue, and more. I also used it on roasted vegetables, pasta, canned soups, and grilled chicken and it was delicious.
Herbes de Provence (or Herbes de Provence) is a French herb blend of thyme, basil, rosemary, tarragon, savory, marjoram, bay leaf, and lavender. Perfect for complementing chicken dishes and homemade salad dressings. Lavender adds an elegant touch to any meal.
Kinder’s “The Blend” is a mixture of salt, cracked pepper, and crunchy garlic cloves. Pairs well with chicken, beef, fish, and vegetables. I love using it on burgers, chicken nuggets, and roasted vegetables.
Blends are a great all-purpose seasoning to have in your spice cabinet.
Hidden Valley’s Fiesta Ranch seasoning is a tangy twist on the classic flavor of tomatoes, red peppers, and onions, similar to Doritos chips. Mix with cottage cheese to make a delicious protein-rich vegetable dip.
You can also sprinkle Fiesta Ranch on raw carrot chips for a healthier chip alternative or on airfryer crispy roasted thick peas. Hmm!
I love the smoky flavor and spicy temperature of this organic taco seasoning. Perfect for grilled ground beef tacos, taco soup, and carne asada. Homemade taco seasoning is great, but so is this ready-to-use option.

Enjoy the taste of fine steakhouse right in your own grill, smoker, or oven. This delicious Butter Steakhouse Seasoning combines real butter, herbs, and cracked pepper for a versatile flavor that’s truly delicious with anything you eat. Also use on steak, chicken, pork chops, and roasted or air-fried vegetables.
It’s a delicious addition to gumbo, chili, soups, jambalaya, and stews. Contains salt, garlic, red pepper, and Creole spices for spiciness. This has been my go-to for years to enhance the flavor of meat, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and more.

9. Trader Joe’s Green & Red Hatch Chili Flakes
Trader Joe’s has so many unique seasoning blends! Their Dried Hatch Chili Flakes are a favorite in our kitchen. Since hatched chiles are seasonal, drying them is genius. In my opinion, they are more flavorful and classier than regular red chili flakes.
Great for Mexican food, pizza, pasta, or anything you want to add a deeper spicy flavor to.

True Citrus is known for their lemon and lime crystal packs, but they also offer great seasoning blends. I love using a lemon and pepper blend for seafood and vegetables, orange and ginger for teriyaki chicken and stir-fries, and lime and cilantro for rice, guacamole, fajitas, and more.
